BRADENTON, Fla. - Amalia Villarreal, Maya Spano, and Ashley Cherniawsky were recognized by Top Drawer Soccer for their individual efforts at the GA Florida Showcase.
Both Villarreal and Spano were mentioned on the list of Friday standouts.
From Top Drawer Soccer: "Amalia Villarreal, Michigan Jaguars 04 - Villarreal, a 2006, was back in action with her hometown club, Michigan Jaguars FC, on Friday at the GA Event. The talented midfielder played for Solar SC at the Dallas Cup where she helped that team win the championship while playing up an age group. Villarreal was every bit as good on Friday. She was on the short list for best players of the day. She scored a terrific goal in the first half - a stepover into a scissor move that ended with her burying the ball into the upper corner of the net. Jaguars, overall, had a good showing in the game. Maya Spano had a great finish on a goal in the first half."
Cherniawsky received attention in the Monday wrap-up for the goal she scored against Oakwood.
From Top Drawer Soccer: "Ashley Cherniawsky, Michigan Jaguars FC 04 - Cherniawsky scored on an Olympic in the game against Oakwood on Monday."
