The Michigan Jaguars FC are seeking a dynamic, highly-skilled Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement marketing initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency, and a positive customer experience with the ultimate goal of increasing player registrations. The Marketing Coordinator will enhance and grow the brand of Michigan Jaguars FC and promote the success of our programs through digital content, social media, marketing activities, advertising, and media relations. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Workload for the position is full time during the 11-month soccer season with March to June being the busiest months. During this timeframe, the Marketing Coordinator will be required to manage several quick-turn deadlines. The position offers flexible hours, but may require attending club events on nights and weekends to build digital content. Some travel may also be required. The Marketing Coordinator will be expected to work from the Michigan Jaguars office in Novi, Michigan on a weekly basis at minimum along with attending scheduled meetings.


The Marketing Coordinator will develop a content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets. This will include scheduling and executing digital initiatives and consistently refreshing the content on the Michigan Jaguars FC website and social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube). Responsibilities also include designing high-impact marketing materials such as advertisements, promotional flyers, monthly email newsletters, brochures, and PowerPoint slides. These tasks require strong graphic design skills and close coordination with Jaguars staff and Michigan Jaguars FC members to gather content. 

The Marketing Coordinator will serve as the primary media contact for Michigan Jaguars FC and is responsible for writing and editing all club-related media materials promoting team and player accomplishments, showcase events, major tournaments, etc.

Other duties include monitoring and analyzing website analytics and social media trends and their impact on the Michigan Jaguars FC brand along with suggesting improvements to website layout and content based on customer feedback.


The position requires Adobe Creative Suite expertise to develop graphics for website and social media content and marketing materials. Website administration will be performed using content management software. Training for website content management software will be provided. 

Candidate must be self-motivated, perform well under deadlines, and be detail-oriented. The position also requires the following:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a marketing-related role, executing multi-channel marketing plans
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail
  • Adobe Creative Suite expertise (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office programs
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Experience with website content management software
  • Experience managing social media accounts
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
